Hibiscus splendens Graham

Tall shrub or small tree with prickly stems. Leaves ovate or 3-5 lobed, c. 3-15 cm long without glands. Epicalyx of 10-12 bracts. Flowers solitary, axillary, pink. Flower stalk with a joint about 1 cm below the flower.

Leaves without glands; flowers pink, the stalk with a joint about 1 cm below the flower cf. H. heterophyllus.
