Crinodendron patagua Molina

Evergreen shrub to 5m or more tall. Young shoots slightly hairy. Leaves more or less ovate, 4-6 cm long, hairless, shallowly saw-toothed, pale below. Stalk reddish. Flowers axillary, cup-like, white, about 1.5 cm long, solitary; stalk 2-3 cm long, reddish. Petals 5, fleshy, downy at the margins; early summer.
