Hibbertia riparia (DC.) Hoogland

Erect Guinea Flower

Dwarf shrub, erect to spreading. Leaves linear mostly 1-3 cm long, 4 mm wide, ridged below with no undersurface visible. Flowers more or less stalkless, common stalk sometimes to 2 cm long. Sepals 0.5-1 cm long. Petals obovate, about 1 cm long, stamens in a cluster to one side of the sepals; spring. Carpels 2, hairy. [H. stricta (DC.) F. Muell.]
