Scrambling shrub mostly less than 1 m tall. Stems ridged. Leaves ovate, 3-7 cm long, 2-3 cm wide, tip blunt to long-pointed. Leaf stalk about 1 cm long with the leaf base often long tapering. Flowers more or less stalkless with the sepal tube about 1 cm long, 5-ribbed, covered with sticky glandular hairs and a slender corolla tube 1.5-2 cm long, white; mostly summer. Capsule 3-6 mm long.
