Oreocereus celsianus (Salm-Dyck) Riccob.

Shrubby plant eventually growing over 1 m tall. Stems over 10 cm wide with 10-17 tuberculate ribs. Areoles with long, woolly hairs; central spines 1-4, radial spines 8-10. Flowers pale pink with a curved tube; stigmas protruding from the mouth. Fruit spherical, yellowish, opening at the base.
