Echinocereus stramineus Engelm. ex Rümpler

Body clustering, cylindrical to 25 cm long, 8 cm wide with 10-13 ribs. Areoles round, whitish 1.5 cm apart with 1-4 central spines 4-8.5 cm and 7-14 whitish radial spines to 3 cm long. Flowers purple-pink 6-12 cm wide.
