Echinocereus sciurus var. floresii (Backeb.) N.P.Taylor

Body solitary or clustering, cylindrical to 10 cm high, 3 cm wide with 14 ribs. Areoles with about 18 whitish or brownish radial spines 1.5 cm long and pressed down. Central spines (0)2-4 long. Flowers red 4-5 cm long, 7 cm wide. [e. floresii Backeb.]
