Echinocereus pulchellus var. weinbergii (Weing.) N.P.Taylor

Body solitary, globular to 12 cm wide with about 15 ribs. Areoles 8 mm apart with 10 brownish-tipped whitish radial spines 4-10 mm long. Flowers bright pink 5 cm wide.
