Echinocereus pentalophus (DC.) Lem.

Body spreading and branching to 15 cm, 2 cm wide with 4-5 ribs. Areoles whitish with up to 9 yellowish or whitish radial spines to 2 cm long. Flowers lilac 10 cm wide.
