Echinocereus enneacanthus Engelm.

Body clustering, spreading, cylindrical to 20 cm high, 3-7 cm thick with 8-10 ribs. Areoles whitish 1 cm apart with 1-3 yellowish central spines 4-6.5 cm long and 7-10 white radial spines to 1.5 cm long. Flowers pale, purplish 5-6 cm long, 7 cm wide.
