Ariocarpus fissuratus (Engelm.) K.Schum.

Body mostly to 10 cm wide, grey-green to brownish. Tubercles deeply fissured and wrinkled with a felted groove above. Flowers magenta.

NE Mexico

 

Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus (Lem.) K. Schum. comes from E & NE Mexico; the other species with a tubercular groove is generally smaller and darker green without the deep tubercular furrowing.
