Stems tufted, variable. Leaves of 2 different sizes thoughout, densely distributed in flattened branches, yellowish to pale green, glossy below; upper median leaves with a long bristle. Needs shelter and warmth.

Bristly median leaves; large lateral leaves 3.5-5 mm long.
