Thelypteris patens (Sw.) Small

Rhizome erect; scales large, ovate, whitish to broad. Blade to about 60 cm long, tapering evenly to the tip. Blades mostly soft hairy below. Indusia dark brown to black.

Needs shelter and warmth.

Mexico.

Rhizome erect with large, ovate, hairless scales at the tip of the rhizome and frond base.
