Fronds often more than 1 m long mostly divided 2 or occasionally 3 times. Segments to 2.5 cm long with a soft spine at the base, sterile ones toothed; veins running together. Stalks thick.
Needs shelter and warmth.
New Guinea, Samoa, Malaysia, China, Japan to India.
