Grammatophyllum stapeliiflorum (Teijsm. & Binn.) J.J.Sm.

Medium sized epiphyte. Pseudobulbs compressed-ovoid, to 15 cm long. Leaves 2 or 3, lanceolate, to 45 cm long, to 8 cm wide. Flowers 5-15, to 5 cm wide, yellow or greyish with purplish spots, labellum midlobe white with purplish spots; summer. Sepals and petals joined at base to form a bell, tips spreading. Labellum lobes rounded, side lobes erect, midlobe convex, warty. Syn. G. stapeliiflora, Cymbidium stapeliaeflorumTeijsm. & Binn.

May be placed in Grammatophyllum.

Malaysia and Indonesia.
