Fronds divided 2 times, to a maximum of about 1 m long and 25 cm wide. Stalks and midribs with dark shiny brown, pale-edged scales. Blades narrowly elliptic or oblong in outline. Indusia pale brown, almost flat. Can grow in cool areas.
Recognition: Stem forming a short trunk; frond long and narrowly oblong in outline; axes with a dense covering of pale-edged scales.
