Rhizomes short, ascending. Frond to 50 cm or more long. Stalks densely scaly with dark brown scales at the base. Segments in 3-6 pairs, oblong to ovate, long-pointed, finely toothed and with an ear-like lobe on one or both sides; terminal segment cut 2-3 times. Indusia cut and fringed. Can grow in cool areas.
Recognition: Arching fronds; segments in 3-6 pairs, margins regularly and finely toothed; indusium fringed.
