Pinalia xanthocheila ( Ridl. ) W.Suarez & Cootes

Medium sized epiphyte. Pseudobulbs cylindrical to spindle-shaped, to 25 cm long. Leaves apical, 3 or 4, elliptic, to 20 cm long, to 3.5 cm wide, thin. Flowers many, to 1.5 cm wide, dense, mostly greenish-yellow with a bright yellow labellum; summer. Sepals ovate, dorsal hooded, laterals curved. Petals elliptic. Labellum 3- lobed, base with 3 ridges, midlobe notched at tip.

Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines.

E. coronaria (Lindl.) Rchb. f. from the Himalayas to SE Asia is a medium sized epiphyte or terrestrial with narrow-cylindrical, 2-leaved pseudobulbs and 2-6 flowered inflorescences of mostly white flowers.
