Allium cristophii

Herb with spherical bulbs. Leaves 2-7, linear, erect, waxy blue with stiff hairs. Inflorescence 15-40 cm, stem solid, spathes 2. Flowers numerous, 10-18 mm long, star-shaped; summer. Tepals violet-purple, with a metallic sheen. Stamens shorter than tepals, united basally. [A. albopilosum C.H.Wright]
