Rhizome short, erect. Fronds with dark brown shiny scales. Fronds to 50 cm long or more. Segments in 2-8 pairs, papery, toothless or irregularly toothed, terminal ones often with 3 lobes. Sori roundish without teeth. Needs shelter and warmth.
