Gardenia jasminoides

Evergreen tree or shrub to 10 m or more tall. Leaves ovate-lanceolate to elliptic or oblong, to about 12 cm long, 5 cm wide, dark green and glossy. Flowers axillary or terminal, solitary or in few-flowered clusters, white or cream, generally double, the floral tube to about 3 cm long, extremely fragrant; summer to winter. [G.
