Gomesa forbesii (Hook.) M.W.Chase & N.H.Williams

Medium sized epiphyte. Pseudobulbs oblong, to 8 cm long, compressed. Leaves 1 or 2, strap-like, to 25 cm long, to 4 cm wide. Flowers many, to 6 cm wide, brown with yellow edging; autumn. Sepals unequal, laterals smaller than dorsal. Petals larger than sepals, almost round. Labellum almost round, obscurely 3-lobed, margins wavy, resembling petals.
