Flagrant-flowered Garlic

Herb with ovoid bulbs. Leaves 3-5, terete, hollow, stem-sheathing, shorter than inflorescence. Inflorescence 30-70 cm, stem terete to angled, spathe 1, 2-lobed, umbel loose. Flowers many, 4.5-7 mm long, cup-shaped.Tepals white to pink; summer. Stamens shorter than to slightly longer than tepals.

Southern and eastern Europe. Known as a garden escape in southern Australia.
