Veronica parviflora

Variable shrub but in gardens generally grown as the smaller forms. Leaves to 2.5 cm long, linear-lanceolate, stiff, entire, close-set, spreading or slightly bent back. Flower clusters lateral, 3-4 cm long, simple; summer. Flowers white, close together.

H. glaucophylla (Ckn) Ckn from New Zealand is a rounded shrub to 1 m tall. Branchlets thin. Leaves lanceolate, to about 1.5 cm long, spreading, waxy-blue, the tip pointed. Flower clusters lateral, mostly 3-5 cm long; summer. Flowers white.

H. rakaiensis (J.B.Armst.) Ckn is very similar but has glossy green, not waxy-blue leaves.
