Weeping Cabbage Palm

Accepted name: Livistona decora

Trunk to 12 m tall, 20 cm wide, light grey. Leaves to 4 m long, crowded, in a large crown, yellowish-green, deeply divided. Leaflets with long drooping tips. Panicles about 1 m long, with yellow flowers. Fruit about 1.8 cm across, black, shiny.

Queensland

Grows in coastal districts, often near swamps and streams. Highly ornamental and becoming popular. Useful in coastal conditions.
