Chionodoxa luciliae Bioss.

Perennial herb from a bulb. Leaves recurved. Inflorescence to 14 cm. Flowers 1-2, erect, cup-shaped, to about 3 cm wide; spring.Tepals lavender-blue with a white centre.

Western Turkey.

C. sardensis Whittall from western Turkey is a perennial herb from a bulb. Leaves erect to spreading. Inflorescence to 40 cm. Flowers 4-12, nodding, cup-shaped, to 2.5 cm wide; spring.Tepals bright blue.
