Galaxia barnardii Goldblatt

Accepted name: Moraea barnadiella

Leaves lanceolate. Flowers star-shaped, pink to purple with darker centre; spring. Perianth tube 15-30 mm long; segments ovate, 15-25 mm long. Stigmas entire, just exceeding the anthers.

Cape Province.

G. versicolor Klatt is similar, but the flowers have yellow centres.
