Leaves to 60 cm long, 2-4 cm wide. Stems 60-130 cm long. Perianth segments 2-3 cm long, orange to yellow, spotted. Seeds numerous, black, shiny, persisting in a cluster after capsule opens; summer. Syn. B. punctata Moench.

N Vietnam & S China.

Pardacanda norrisii Lenz, Candy Lily, is a garden hybrid between this species and the closely related Vesper Iris, Pardanthopsis dichotoma (Pallas) Lenz.
