Sophronitis wittigiana Barb.Rodr.

Small epiphyte. Pseudobulbs almost spherical, to 2 cm long, 2-ranked. Leaves ovate, to 2 cm long, to 1.5 cm wide, shiny green. Flowers usually solitary, to 7 cm wide, pink; autumn to winter. Sepals oblong. Petals almost round, twice as wide as sepals. Labellum 3-lobed, side lobes erect, midlobe yellow at base with several scarlet lines.
