Lemboglossum cordatum (Lindl.) Halb.

Medium sized epiphyte. Pseudobulbs ovoid, to 8 cm long. Leaves solitary, elliptic to strap-shaped, to 30 cm long, to 5 cm wide. Flowers many, to 8 cm wide, summer. Sepals and petals similar, lanceolate to elliptic, petals somewhat smaller than sepals, yellow with reddish-brown bars or blotches. Labellum triangular to heart-shaped, entire, short-clawed, margins wavy, white with reddish-brown spots. Syn. Odontoglossum cordatum Lindl.

Mexico, C and S America.
