Laelia cinnabarina Lindl.

Medium sized epilith. Pseudobulbs cylindrical, to 20 cm long, dark green. Leaves 1 or 2, narrow-lanceolate, to 25 cm long, to 3.5 cm wide. Flowers 5-15, to 6 cm wide, orange-red; spring to summer. Sepals and petals linear to narrow-lanceolate, similar. Labellum 3-lobed, side lobes embracing column, midlobe ovate, margins wavy.

Brazil.

L. harpophylla Rchb. f. from Brazil is a medium sized epiphyte with long, slender, 1- or 2-leaved pseudobulbs and racemes of 3-8 mostly bright orange flowers to 8 cm wide.

L. angereri Pabst from Brazil is a medium sized epilith with long, slender 1-leaved pseudobulbs and racemes of 5?15 mostly brick-red flowers to 5 cm wide.
