Giant Lily

Perennial herb to about 4 m tall. Leaves numerous, basal and cauline, heartshaped. Inflorescence terminal. Flowers up to 25, spreading, fragrant; late spring to summer. Tepals to 20 cm long, overlapping into a tube, white with maroonpurple stripes.

Grown in cool, moist shade on rich soils.

Himalayas and China.
