Perennial erect herb from a stout rhizome-like corm. Stems to 75 cm, flowers solitary in leaf axils. Leaves broadly tapering, with apical tendrils. Flower 1, belllike with spreading lobe apices, to 3 cm long; summer.Tepals bright orange.
Grown for the attractive habit and unusual orange bell-like flowers.
