Shrub or small tree to about 10 m tall with star-shaped hairs. Leaves oblong-elliptic to oblanceolate, 5-20 cm long, 2-7 cm wide, with numerous small oil dots; leaf stalk articulated with the blade. Flower clusters of several flowers. Sepals roundish. Petals ovate-lanceolate, about 1.5 cm long, hairy, cream; spring to autumn. Fruit segments about 0.5 cm long.
