Shrub 1-2 m tall with new growth grey- or brown-hairy. Leaves obovate or spoonshaped, to 3 cm long and 1 cm wide, tip blunt or notched, lower surface grey- or brown-hairy. Flowers solitary or in few-flowered clusters, lemon yellow; spring. Petals 5-7 mm long, hairy outside. Fruit segments beaked. [A. mollis Benth.]
