Scabiosa caucasica Bieb.

Clumping perennial herb to about 0.5 m tall. Basal leaves lanceolate, entire, pointed, waxy-blue. Stem leaves pinnately lobed. Flower heads white, blue or lilac, to about 7 cm wide.
