Perennial, woody, rough-stemmed climber sometimes grown as an annual. Leaves to about 7 cm long, broadly ovate, palmately 5-7-veined; the leaf stalk winged. Flowers solitary. Calyx of 10-13 sepal lobes. Petal tube about 5 cm long; summer.
