Variable, spreading to slightly erect subshrub rooting at the nodes when touching the ground. Leaves 1-4 cm long, 0.5-2 cm wide, shape variable, ovate to narrowly linearlanceolate or elliptic, toothed, tip pointed. Flower clusters of numerous flowers. Flowers white, with pink or purple veins, about 1 cm long, with 4 unequal lobes. Fruit capsule 3-4 mm long. [Veronica catarractae G. Forst.]
