Shrub to about 0.5 m tall. Leaves oblong to round-elliptic, mostly 4-7 cm long, to 3 cm wide, spreading, glossy above and with reddish margins, evenly saw-toothed, stalk 1-1.5 cm long. Flower clusters 20-30 cm long, with secondary branching; late spring to early summer. Flowers lavender to white.
