Shrub to 4 m tall. Leaves to 60 cm long, 45 cm wide, ovate with a cordate base, coarsely toothed and softly hairy below, dark green and wrinkled. Flowers to 2 cm long, violet with a white tube. [W. urens Kunth. var. caracasana (Kunth) D.N. Gibson]
