Thickly branched tree about 10 m tall with branched thorns. Leaves compound, alternate. Leaflets 8-16, 3-8 cm long, midrib downy on both sides, edges finely scalloped, stalks short. Flowers in downy clusters. Fruit pods 15-25 cm long, 2-3 cm wide.
