Itea ilicifolia Oliv.

Evergreen shrub to about 5 m tall. Leaves holly-like, to about 10 cm long, 6 cm wide, glossy above, margins spiny. Flowers in 3s in long, dense, spike-like clusters to over 30 cm long, pale green, fragrant; summer.
