Ampelopsis brevipedunculata (Maxim.) Trautv.

Woody climber with rough-hairy branchlets. Leaves to about 15 cm long,15 cm wide, 3-lobed and with a pointed tip, dark green and hairless above, paler and hairy below and with a strong notch at the base. Flower clusters not extending beyond the leaves. Fruit 6-8 mm wide, round, bluish to violet.

var. maximowiczii (Regel) Rehder has leaves more deeply lobed and with a deeper notch than the type.
