Greek koryne— club, karpos — fruit, referring to the shape of the fruits.

4 species from New Guinea, NE Australia, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, New Zealand.

Orange fruits at least 2 cm long. Griselinia, another New Zealand genus, has similar leaves but has unisexual flowers and fruits no longer than 1 cm.
