Gum Vine

A straggling shrub, sometimes climbing. Stems slightly warty. Leaves ovatelanceolate, to about 9 cm long, 2-3 cm wide, sometimes tinged red, glossy, margins with fine rounded or pointed teeth; stipules small. Flowers in axillary clusters; spring to early summer. Sepals 4, conspicuous, greenish yellow, sometimes tinged pink, about 2 mm long at first but expanding to over 1 cm around the fruit, clovescented. Petals 2-3 mm long. Fruit a nut 2-3 mm long.
