Variable shrub to about 3 m tall. Leaves lanceolate to elliptic or oblanceolate, 1-2.5 cm long, 1-6 mm wide, margins entire. Flowers in clusters of 3-7; spring to late summer. Sepals triangular. Petals roundish, to 2.5 mm long. Stamens 5-7. Fruit a capsule about 2 mm wide. Syn. Baeckea virgata (Forst. & Forst. f.) Andr.
