Leucadendron floridum R.Br.

Silvery shrubs to 2 m tall. Leaves to about 2.5 cm long, 5 mm broad, linear, blunt with a sharp point and increasing in size towards the flower head. Female flowers about 1.25 cm long, not hidden by the leaves.

S Africa (Cape).

Branchlets with long hair; leaves sharply pointed, rounded at the base; fruits 3-angled. L. uliginosum R. Br. differs in having short, close-pressed hair on the leaves, leaves narrowed at the base, fruit narrowly winged.
