Urchin Dryandra

Shrub to 3 m tall with hairy branchlets. Leaves variable, oblong to obovate, to about 10 cm long, 6 cm wide, prickly and holly-like, margins wavy, white-hairy below, margins rolled under. Flower heads terminal, about 6 cm or so wide, yellow, sometimes suffused with pink, the styles giving a pincushion appearance; winter to spring.
