Acorn Banksia

Shrub or small tree to 10 m tall in the wild and with smooth bark. Leaves alternate, linear, mostly 15-25 cm long, 1-2 cm wide; margin toothed. Flower cone ovoid, 8-14 cm long, 7-8 cm wide. Perianth about 3.5 cm long, cream with orange tube and silver hair; Feb-Aug. Style curved. Fruits numerous,1.5-2 cm long.
