Heath-leaved Banksia

Tall shrub or small tree to 5 m or so tall with smooth to corky bark. Leaves alternate, crowded, 1-2 cm long, about 1 mm wide, tip blunt or with 2 teeth; margins bent under, entire. Flower cone to about 22 cm long. Perianth 1.5-3 cm long, golden brown; late autumn to spring. Style hooked below the tip. Fruits numerous 1.5-2 cm long.
